Absolutely not! Our Discover Scuba experience is designed specifically for complete beginners with zero prior experience. Your certified instructor will guide you through everything in a safe, controlled environment, often in a pool before heading to open water. We have experiences for every level from first-timers to technical divers.

Every instructor on our platform holds recognized international certifications from PADI, SSI, NAUI, or equivalent agencies. All vessels and dive operations are independently audited for DAN safety compliance. We also conduct regular background checks and ongoing performance reviews.

All of our experiences include full equipment rental — mask, fins, BCD, regulator, wetsuit, and tanks. Specialized gear for underwater photography, nitrox diving, or rebreathers can be arranged as add-ons. If you have your own equipment, you're welcome to bring it — just let us know at booking.

A portion of every booking is automatically donated to Mother Ocean, our partner 501(c)(3) nonprofit. These funds go directly to coral restoration programs, coastline cleanup initiatives, and supporting adaptive divers in underserved communities. While basic water comfort is recommended, you don't need to be an Olympic swimmer! Our Discover Scuba sessions are conducted in shallow, calm water with an instructor right by your side at all times. Most first-timers are surprised by how natural it feels. If you have specific concerns, our team can assess your individual situation.
